Our Programs

Seedlings (Infants ages 6 weeks-18 months)

We follow your baby’s lead for their daily schedule.  While we aim to have lots of playtime, social interaction, and appropriate naps, babies will dictate their schedule, and each day will be different, depending on their particular needs.

Infants grow and learn every day. At Green Thumb, we provide an environment that is safe and nurturing where infants can explore the world around them and make new discoveries.

Our Infant program overview;

  • Each child receives individualized love and attention from our trained staff.
  • Daily teacher and child interactions that spur curiosity and socialization.
  • Playtime helps boost cognitive and motor skills.
  • Our classrooms have age-appropriate equipment that support learning and development.
  • Each day you will receive a Student Daily that informs you about your child’s daily activities. (diaper changes, foods, bottles, naps, outside time, activities, cares and concerns)
  • Our teachers keep you informed about your child’s progress.
  • A safe daycare environment where your infant has the freedom to move and explore.

Tiny Tots (ages 14-20 months)

Our Transitional Toddler Program is designed for children age 14 months to two years old and provides an environment that encourages your child to learn at their own pace. We start to initiate a schedule with much flexibility. We are working with their unique patterns of playing, feeding and sleeping as a guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare your toddler for making their next transition.

Your child is ready to begin self-help skills, and we will be working on them each day. Our Toddlers will be using an age-specific curriculum that incorporates music, language, large and fine motor skills, art, cognitive, and sensory experience on a daily basis. In addition, the children will be outside on our front porch with age appropriate play items.

Some of our classroom activities will include;

  • Help with self-feeding and using a cup
  • Identifying colors, numbers and shapes
  • Sorting, stringing beads and block building.
  •  Sharing & taking turns, being a friend and group exercises.
  • Stories, language, music & movement and imaginary play.
  • Each day you will receive a Student Daily that informs you about your child’s daily activities.
